Potomac Woods currently has a limited number of memberships available. To apply, please complete a Membership Application and return it with a $50 deposit to our P.O. Box address. Questions can be directed to membership@potomacwoodsswimclub.org.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I apply for membership to the Pool?

Download the application from the Potomac Woods Swim Club website. Fill out the application and submit to the address listed with a $50 deposit. This deposit will be applied to your Bond membership fees once accepted.

When will I hear if I will be extended a membership?

Membership openings are determined by the number of current members that resign or go in active for the summer. This process takes place during the March thru May timeframe.

What is a Bond Member?

A Bond Member is a full charter member of the club, is guaranteed a membership each year and has voting rights at our general membership meetings.

What is a Summer/Temporary Member?

A summer or temporary member is guaranteed use of the club for one summer season. This membership does not require the Bond payment nor has any voting privileges. These memberships are available on a limited basis each season based on the number of Full Bond members that choose to inactivate their membership for one season. Summer membership rates are higher than the fees full members pay for a summer season.

Do you have to pay the Bond and the Annual Dues at the same time?

Yes.

Can I drop off the membership application at the pool in or person?

No. Please send via mail to ensure the membership applications are received in a central location.

If I resign my membership, how long does it take to receive my bond payment back?

Per our bylaws bond repayment is made when we have replaced your membership with a new family and they have paid the bond in full. Based on our membership cycle, repayments are generally made April through June each year as new members accept offers and make payment. We process repayments in the date order of the resignation received.
