Join the 2026 Potomac Woods Dive Team today!

The Potomac Woods Dive Team has proudly been a member of the Montgomery County (Summer) Dive League (MCDL) since its inception in 2000. Despite being one of the smaller clubs in the league, Potomac Woods always makes a big impact. The Demons have finished in the top five every summer for the past 10 years and won the MCDL All Star championships in 2014, 2016 and 2017. With highly-trained coaches and fun, supportive teammates, Potomac Woods divers have enjoyed memorable experiences to last a lifetime.

The Potomac Woods Dive Team offers a safe and solid foundation for the sport of diving. Each year the coaches skillfully transform new divers into meet-ready competitors and teach experienced divers to do more complex dives so that they remain competitive in higher age groups. Several Demon divers have been invited to join the Montgomery Dive Club’s National Team, which allows them to compete nationally and in the Junior National Championships. Some of our most accomplished divers also have gone on to dive in college on scholarships.

Dive Team Schedule

Meets are scheduled for Sunday afternoons starting at 4 p.m. For home meets, team members should arrive at the pool at 2 p.m. to help with set-up and to warm-up. For away meets, team members should arrive at the host pool at 3 p.m. Dive team representatives will send an email a few days before each meet verifying the time, location and instructions for the meet.

July 23, 2026 – All-Stars 13 to 18 Events – Time/Location TBD (usually starts @ 2pm)

I am a current student at West Point and spent a duration of my time as a diver for the Army Swim/Dive Team. I grew up in the Potomac Woods neighborhood, and spent the entirety of my summer dive time with the PW Dive team! I am a former Junior Olympic Diver from Montgomery/Alexandria Dive Club, now Metro Area Dive. I have 5 years of coaching under my belt, paired with 13 years of diving experience. My biggest priority is not only the success of the divers that I am coaching, but their amicability with the sport and their safety/security while on the board. Throughout the summer, my goal is to ensure your diver meets their personal goals and feels that they have achieved the expectation that they set for themselves. With the aid of the Potomac Woods team reps and parents along the way, I'm sure the team will have a great summer!
